North Ridge Slate™

North Ridge Slate provides the dimensional appearance and distinctive shadow lines of traditional slate roofing without the weight and maintenance requirements associated with natural slate.

Cedar Creek Shake™

Cedar Creek Shake provides the textured appearance of traditional cedar shakes with the strength, consistency and low-maintenance performance of steel.

Vicwest classifies both profiles as residential metal roof shingles manufactured from 28-gauge Galvalume steel. The products are designed for roof applications with a minimum slope of 3:12.

Available SMP Colours

This specially priced package is available only in approved Signature Matte SMP-coated solid colours.

Complete Package Inclusions

The package includes:

  • Choice of North Ridge Slate or Cedar Creek Shake
  • 28-gauge Galvalume steel roofing
  • Approved Signature Matte SMP colour
  • Concealed fastening roofing system
  • Manufacturer-approved roofing fasteners
  • Matching roofing components

Installation Over Existing Asphalt Shingles

The metal roofing system will be installed over one existing layer of asphalt shingles, provided the existing roof and roof deck are suitable for this installation method.

The existing asphalt shingles must be reasonably flat, securely attached and free from conditions that would prevent a proper installation.

Removal and disposal of the existing asphalt roofing are not included in this package.

Full Roof Underlayment

A new roofing underlayment will be installed over the entire eligible asphalt roof surface before the steel roofing system is installed.

The underlayment creates a complete separation layer between the existing asphalt shingles and the new steel roofing system while providing additional secondary protection.

New Trims and Flashings

All standard trims and flashings required for the approved roof design are included, where applicable:

  • Eave starter trims
  • Gable and rake trims
  • Ridge caps
  • Hip caps
  • Standard valley flashing
  • Sidewall flashing
  • End-wall flashing
  • Transition flashing
  • Plumbing-stack flashings
  • Standard roof-penetration flashings
  • Colour-matched finishing components

Custom fabricated components, unusual roof transitions, masonry work and specialty flashings may require an additional approved charge.

Upgraded Roof Ventilation

The package includes the supply and installation of:

Two Maximum Roof Vents

The appropriate vent model will be selected after the attic size, roof layout and existing ventilation system have been reviewed.

Ventilation work includes:

  • Removal or closure of replaced roof vents where required
  • Installation of two new Maximum vents
  • Integration of the vents into the new steel roofing system
  • New vent flashings
  • Weatherproof sealing
  • Review of the existing soffit intake ventilation

Proper soffit intake ventilation is required for roof exhaust vents to operate effectively. Repairs or additions to soffits, intake vents, insulation or attic air channels are not included unless added to the final installation agreement.

Professional Installation

The package includes:

  • Delivery of approved roofing materials
  • Protection of the immediate work area
  • Installation of full roof underlayment

Important Purchase and Installation Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer carefully before purchasing the ROOFNOW™ Vicwest True Nature™ Metal Roof Installation Package.

By completing checkout, the purchaser confirms that they have reviewed and accepted the complete product description, package requirements, qualification conditions and terms outlined below.

1. Fully Prepaid Online Package

The advertised price of $15,000 CAD plus applicable taxes is a special fully prepaid online package price.

The entire purchase amount is collected through Shopify at checkout. This is not a deposit or financing arrangement.

The reduced package price is offered because the customer:

  • Purchases a standardized roofing package online
  • Pays the complete amount in advance
  • Selects from the approved Vicwest True Nature™ profiles
  • Selects from the available SMP colours
  • Accepts the stated package limits and qualification requirements
  • Completes the required written installation contract after purchase

Completing payment begins the roof-verification and contract process. Payment alone does not confirm that the property qualifies for the advertised package.

2. ROOFNOW™ Will Contact the Customer

After the online purchase is completed, a ROOFNOW™ representative will contact the customer using the contact information provided at checkout.

The customer may be asked to provide:

  • The installation property address
  • Photographs of the home and roof
  • Photographs of all roof elevations
  • Information about the existing asphalt roof
  • Information about known leaks or damage
  • Access details
  • Any other information reasonably required to verify the project

An on-site inspection may also be required before the package is approved.

3. Written Installation Contract

After the roof has been reviewed, the customer will be required to complete a written installation contract before materials are ordered or installation is scheduled.

The written contract will confirm:

  • Customer’s name and contact information
  • Installation property address
  • Total package price
  • Applicable taxes
  • Amount already paid through Shopify
  • Verified roof measurements
  • Selected Vicwest True Nature™ roofing profile
  • Selected SMP colour
  • Approved installation method
  • Included materials and labour
  • Full underlayment
  • Included trims and flashings
  • Two Maximum roof vents
  • Project-specific inclusions
  • Project-specific exclusions
  • Any approved additional work
  • Estimated installation window
  • Warranty information
  • Customer responsibilities
  • Installation and completion terms

The written contract will clearly state the selected profile, selected colour and approved price.

The customer must carefully review the contract before signing. Materials will not be ordered until the required contract and final selections have been completed.

4. Roofing Profile and Colour Confirmation

The customer may select an available Vicwest True Nature™ profile offered with this package, including:

  • North Ridge Slate™
  • Cedar Creek Shake™

The package is limited to the available approved SMP colours shown on the product page.

PVDF colours, printed colours, premium finishes and colours not included in the online package may require a revised price.

Colours displayed on websites, phones, tablets and computer screens may not accurately represent the finished roofing material.

The customer should make the final colour selection using an approved physical product sample whenever available.

The selected profile and colour must be confirmed in the written installation contract before materials are ordered.

Once the customer has approved the profile and colour and the materials have been ordered, changes may be subject to availability, supplier charges, restocking costs and additional expenses.

5. Roof Measurement

The advertised package covers up to 1,500 square feet of actual measured roof surface.

The package is not based on:

  • Interior living space
  • Main-floor square footage
  • Real-estate listing square footage
  • Municipal assessment information
  • The general size of the house

A house described as 1,500 square feet may have a roof area greater than 1,500 square feet.

Actual roof area can be increased by:

  • Roof slope
  • Overhangs
  • Attached garages
  • Porches
  • Additions
  • Dormers
  • Hips
  • Valleys
  • Multiple roof sections
  • Other architectural features

ROOFNOW™ will verify the actual roof surface before approving the package.

When the roof exceeds 1,500 square feet, ROOFNOW™ will provide a revised written scope and price.

6. Existing Asphalt Roofing

This package allows installation over up to two suitable existing layers of asphalt shingles.

The existing roofing must be suitable for an over-roof metal installation.

The existing asphalt shingles must be:

  • Reasonably flat
  • Securely attached
  • Free from excessive movement
  • Suitable to support the proposed installation
  • Free from conditions that would prevent a safe and proper installation

Removal and disposal of the existing asphalt roofing are not included unless specifically stated in the written installation contract.

ROOFNOW™ may determine that an over-roof installation is not suitable when:

  • More than two roofing layers are present
  • The existing roof is excessively uneven
  • The roof deck is damaged
  • Structural concerns are identified
  • Moisture is trapped within the roof assembly
  • Existing materials prevent proper installation
  • The proposed installation cannot be completed safely
  • Other unsuitable conditions are identified

7. Package Qualification

The advertised package price applies only when the property and roof qualify for the standardized installation.

Qualification requirements include:

  • No more than 1,500 square feet of measured roof surface
  • No more than two suitable existing asphalt roofing layers
  • A structurally suitable roof deck
  • A roof slope suitable for the selected roofing system
  • Standard residential roof complexity
  • Safe and reasonable property access
  • A property located within the approved ROOFNOW™ service area
  • No major structural or roof-deck repairs
  • No hazardous or regulated materials
  • No requirement for specialty installation equipment
  • Use of an approved Vicwest True Nature™ profile
  • Use of an included SMP colour

ROOFNOW™ will determine whether the property qualifies based on the verified project conditions.

8. Roof Does Not Qualify

When the roof does not qualify for the advertised package, ROOFNOW™ will provide the customer with a revised written scope of work and revised price.

The revised scope may include additional charges for:

  • Roof area exceeding 1,500 square feet
  • More complex roof designs
  • Roofing removal
  • Additional roofing layers
  • Damaged roof decking
  • Structural repairs
  • Specialty flashings
  • Additional ventilation
  • Additional materials
  • Difficult access
  • Specialty equipment
  • Other work outside the advertised package

The customer is not required to accept the revised price.

9. One Hundred Percent Refund

When the roof does not qualify for the advertised package and the customer declines the revised written price, ROOFNOW™ will cancel the order and provide a 100% refund of the full amount paid, including applicable taxes collected at checkout.

The refund will be returned to the original payment method used for the Shopify purchase.

No deduction will be made for measurements, verification, administration or processing when:

  • The roof does not qualify
  • ROOFNOW™ provides a revised written price
  • The customer declines the revised price
  • A final installation contract has not been completed
  • Materials have not been ordered for the project
  • Installation work has not started

Processing time for the refund to appear in the customer’s account may depend on Shopify, the payment processor and the customer’s financial institution.

10. Customer Cancellation After Approval

Once the customer has:

  • Approved the verified project
  • Confirmed the roofing profile
  • Confirmed the SMP colour
  • Signed the written installation contract
  • Authorized ROOFNOW™ to order the materials

the project will be considered approved for material ordering and scheduling.

Any customer-requested cancellation after this stage will be handled according to the signed installation contract.

Custom-ordered, allocated, delivered or specially prepared roofing materials may not be refundable.

Supplier cancellation charges, restocking charges, delivery expenses or other costs already incurred may apply when permitted under the signed installation contract.

11. Concealed and Unexpected Conditions

ROOFNOW™ cannot identify every concealed condition before installation begins, particularly when the existing asphalt roofing remains in place.

Conditions that may only become visible or identifiable during installation include:

  • Rotten roof decking
  • Damaged or delaminated sheathing
  • Structural deterioration
  • Previous installation defects
  • Hidden water damage
  • Wet insulation
  • Mould or biological growth
  • Inadequate framing
  • Undisclosed roofing layers
  • Unsafe electrical components
  • Improperly installed penetrations
  • Damaged plumbing stacks
  • Deteriorated skylights
  • Hazardous or regulated materials
  • Other concealed building defects

The advertised package price does not include repairing concealed or unexpected conditions that could not reasonably be identified during the initial verification.

When additional work is required, ROOFNOW™ will provide a written change order describing the work and additional price.

12. Change Orders

Additional work outside the approved package will require a written change order.

The change order will identify:

  • The condition discovered
  • The additional work required
  • The additional materials required
  • The additional price
  • Any effect on the installation schedule

Except for urgent measures reasonably required to protect the property or maintain jobsite safety, additional chargeable work will not proceed without customer authorization.

ROOFNOW™ may pause the installation when a condition prevents the work from continuing safely or properly.

13. Full Underlayment

The package includes underlayment over the qualifying asphalt roof surface.

The underlayment acts as a separation and secondary protective layer beneath the new metal roofing system.

The underlayment does not repair:

  • Structural roof problems
  • Rotten decking
  • Existing water damage
  • Active leaks caused by unrelated building components
  • Inadequate insulation
  • Condensation problems
  • Existing ventilation deficiencies

Corrective work required beyond the package will be identified separately.

14. Trims and Flashings

The package includes standard trims and flashings required for a qualifying roof design.

These may include, where applicable:

  • Eave starter trims
  • Gable trims
  • Rake trims
  • Ridge caps
  • Hip caps
  • Standard valley flashing
  • Standard sidewall flashing
  • Standard end-wall flashing
  • Standard transition flashing

  • Standard roof-penetration flashings

The package does not automatically include:

  • Chimney rebuilding
  • Masonry repairs
  • Specialty chimney flashing
  • Complex custom fabrication
  • Unusual roof transitions
  • Skylight replacement
  • Structural corrections
  • Flashing work unrelated to the metal roof installation

Additional custom work may require an approved change order.

15. Ventilation

The package includes the supply and installation of two Maximum roof vents.

The vent model and final location will be determined based on the roof and attic configuration.

Proper attic ventilation requires both intake and exhaust airflow.

The package does not automatically include:

  • New soffit installation
  • Soffit replacement
  • Additional intake ventilation
  • Attic baffles
  • Insulation correction
  • Air sealing
  • Mould remediation
  • Condensation repairs
  • Additional exhaust vents beyond the two included vents

ROOFNOW™ does not guarantee that installing two new exhaust vents will correct pre-existing condensation, moisture, mould, insulation or attic-airflow problems.

16. Product Availability

Vicwest products, profiles, SMP colours, trims, flashings, vents and accessories are subject to manufacturer and distributor availability.

ROOFNOW™ is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Manufacturer production schedules
  • Product shortages
  • Distributor shortages
  • Discontinued colours
  • Transportation delays
  • Supplier delays
  • Events outside the reasonable control of ROOFNOW™

When the selected product or colour becomes unavailable before materials are ordered, ROOFNOW™ will contact the customer to discuss available options.

No substitute profile or colour will be ordered without customer approval.

17. Installation Schedule

The estimated installation window is approximately 4–8 weeks after roof verification, contract completion and final project approval.

ROOFNOW™ experiences high demand during peak roofing season.

The estimated installation window is not a guaranteed start date or completion date.

Installation scheduling may be affected by:

  • Rain
  • Snow
  • High winds
  • Extreme heat
  • Unsafe weather
  • Material availability
  • Crew availability
  • Previously scheduled projects
  • Roof complexity
  • Property access
  • Unforeseen site conditions
  • Events outside the reasonable control of ROOFNOW™

ROOFNOW™ will make reasonable efforts to complete the project within the estimated installation period.

18. Property Access

The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work areas.

The customer is responsible for:

  • Moving vehicles away from the house and work area
  • Keeping driveways and access areas available
  • Securing children and pets away from the work zone
  • Removing or protecting fragile exterior items
  • Identifying underground sprinkler systems
  • Identifying hidden wiring or services
  • Disclosing known roof leaks or structural concerns
  • Providing access to electrical service when reasonably required
  • Confirming that they own the property or have authority to approve the work

Delays caused by restricted access, locked areas, parked vehicles or other customer-controlled conditions may affect the installation schedule.

19. Interior and Exterior Preparation

Roof installation creates normal construction vibration, movement, noise and dust.

Before installation begins, the customer should:

  • Remove fragile items from walls
  • Remove valuables from shelves
  • Protect items stored in the attic
  • Move outdoor furniture away from the house
  • Protect gardens or landscaping where practical
  • Inform ROOFNOW™ of fragile property components
  • Secure pets in a safe location

ROOFNOW™ is not responsible for damage caused by unsecured or unstable items affected by normal construction vibration.

I understand that ROOFNOW™ will verify my roof and contact me to complete a written installation contract confirming the prepaid price, selected Vicwest profile, selected SMP colour and complete scope of work. If my roof does not qualify and I decline the revised written price, I will receive a 100% refund of the full amount paid.
